Jen + Aaron … siiiigh … there are few encounters in life that feel truly and genuinely honest, but these two? These two are a set o’ lungs full of fresh air!
They first discovered us because they attended Katie + Miles’ fabulous wedding about a year ago now. Jen started e-mailing me about a one-year-anniversary shoot for the two of them in around, oh, February? Between summer madness, and a whole slew of other crazy events, the shoot evolved into a maternity shoot … and finally took place in September!
We had such an incredible experience with Jen + Aaron {‘Hawk’}. In the first five minutes, we had talked about all kinds of horribly {wonderfully} intimate details of pregnancy, and soo much other ‘life stuff’ that just rarely gets discussed with old friend, much less brand new ones! Jen’s willingness to go with all of my crazy design suggestions with the shoot was also a blast. Going that extra mile with prep-effort for a shoot makes such a big difference!
After the guys received their photos, Jen wrote this insaaaanely lovely post about us + the photos on her blog! You can read it here! It honestly made me tear up. Just reading about how they are excited to have their child{ren} have photos of them to cherish for years and years to come … I felt like saying, “Yes! That is what we’re all about!! This is why I love my job!”
Jen is now 3 days past her due date … and we are anxiously awaiting the news of the arrival of Little Hawk. 🙂 Our thoughts + prayers are with you as you head into labor, Miss Jen! Lots of love to you both.. we hope we will have the chance to hang with/photograph you lovelies in the future!
They brought the stuffed rabbit from Hawk’s sister that is a gift for the baby … so cute
Aaron was a fantastic sport when I suggested that we use the balloons for a little prego-meets-prego action … haha!!
