We first met Melissa + Brian just hours after they had graduated from Marquette University, and gotten engaged… we’re talkin’ May of 2010! Our mutual friend Sara was eager to introduce us all, and so we shared celebratory beers at an Irish spot in our beloved Milwaukee. Fast-forward 17 months, and it’s an incredibly gorgeous Autumn day, just perfect wedding weather!
After a first look and portraits at Trimborn Farm, the ceremony took place at the stunning Church of the Gesu right on the Marquette campus. And what marriage of Marquette alum could ever be complete without a visit to the St. Joan of Arc Chapel?! The cocktail hour took place in the revolving Polaris restaurant atop the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, where the remainder of the reception went down in one of their grand ballrooms. Since the wedding was over the Halloween weekend, Melissa + Brian provided their guests with costumes and masks to wear as they danced the night away. Trick or treat candy was also lining the floors and tables, and the hands and mouths of every guest!
There’s so much personality and so much fabulous color in this wedding, we’ll just let the images fill in the gaps of our story. And to Melissa + Brian, we’re so happy you asked us to capture your day! Now it’s our turn to collaborate and make sure that Sara (+ Matt) are the next ones down the aisle! 😉 Congratulations again!! xo
