the city sage goes mad men

June 26, 2012

Some of you may have seen this first preview image floating around the interwebs, but today, I’m thrilled to be able to share a full set of images from a styled shoot I did with my beloved Anne Sage last time I was out in San Francisco!

Like many of the harebrained schemes that Anne + I come up with, this little dream was born on Twitter, where the phrase disgruntled housewives was first thrown around.  And then, like magic, this shoot was born.  Yesterday, Anne shared some of her favorite frames over on her blog, and you should be sure to check them out here.  These are some of my personal faves, and I am really beyond honored that Anne entrusted me with this task of capturing her.  As weird as it may sound, this shoot had a fairly vulnerable dynamic about it, and I know Anne poured herself into embodying this 60s Mad Menesque character.  (She even smoked her very first pack of cigarettes for the sake of authenticity in the shoot!)

We shoot two additional looks, and we’ll be featuring those in the coming days and weeks!  Until then… xo
