a holiday art party at light lab with society6!

January 7, 2019

Well hello, hello and happy 2019!

I’m so excited to share photos + a recap video from a fabulous little event my business partner + BFF Anne Sage and I threw together over the holidays. With the floral + balloon help of the amazing Jenay of Lovesome Blossoms, we styled + re-created the look of our studio, Light Lab, with all-new Society6 art!

This fun recap video by Echo and Earl is a great start to this post, don’t miss it…

What holiday gathering is complete without treats? So we made sure everyone was fed + hydrated!

Smith Tea kept the winter afternoon cozy + warm…

While Health Ade Kombucha offered both a fabulous healthy option alone, and/or, was added to the holiday punch for a bit of a boozy kick.

Anne is the master of cheese boards, and they were especially fabulous on this day because she used Society6 Serving Trays!

Milk Bar Bakery desserts were the chocolate on top, if you will…

And Bonterra Wine, made from organic grapes was exactly what the doctor ordered.

The new lewk of the lounge at Light Lab… all kinds of marvelous, don’t you think?

Now, if you’re not from LA, I’ve got a new one for ya… Szent Water these little bottles of magic are actually just water, but there’s a scented ring around the top of the bottle so that you feel like you’re drinking something filled with a whole lot of sugar + calories.. but it just ain’t true!

Some of the Society6 trays and cutting boards we got for ourselves + for our guests were a bit spesh. We picked some of our faves, but there are thousands of artists that upload their original designs and then Society6 makes them into tons of different amazing products. So great for gifts!

Next, we did an art therapy activation! Reflecting on our year.. what had come up for us, what we’d learned, what we wanted to leave behind…

The amazing art therapist Lynell led us through the process. She’s an absolute wonder and we were honored to get to work with her.

My collage included an upside down goat and it made absolute sense at the time. What’s funny?

Because we love a chance to GIVE[!]… there were gifts!

Fabulous little goodies for each guest, all wrapped with love by Anne…

It was an afternoon to remember, and we hope to do it again soon in the coming months! Happy New Year! xx
